First thing to do: Check the oil in the power steering.
Power steering is provided with a tank containing oil for the lubrication of the gears so that the power steering motor will not break.
Such tank is located in the hood and can be recognized by the plug marked with the power steering symbol.
First case: The tank may be transparent, so you just need to check whether the liquid is between the MIN. and MAX. levels.
Second case: There may be a dipstick attached to the plug, which allows you to check the oil level.
In either case: if the level is above MAX, all you need to do is to remove the oil. If on MIN, you need to add oil and make sure there are no leakages: in the latter case, the risk is high, and you may even lose control of the car.
The oil level should be checked on a regular basis.
